2009 Antarctic Cruise - Ushuaia
Our trip began in Ushuaia, Argentina. This is located at the southern tip of
South America, in Tierra del Fuego. On Wednesday morning, we flew Delta Airlines from Denver, CO to Buenos Aires, Argentina
(via Atlanta, GA). The Atlanta-Buenos Aires leg was about
10 hours of flight time. Then we flew to Ushuaia on Aerolineas Argentinas.
In B.A. we had to change from the international to the domestic terminal, so we
had to collect our luggage and go through customs before checking in at the
domestic gate.
We arrived in Ushuaia about 11 a.m. on Thursday (with all our stuff!), where our expedition leader met us and
sent us in a taxi to Hotel Los Ñires, where we would stay one night before we set sail.
