2009 Antarctic Cruise - Falkland Islands
We made several landings in the Falkland Islands.
West Point Island
West Point Island is owned by Roddy and Lily Napier. Sadly, Roddy was sick
and he and his wife were in the hospital in Stanley. The caretakers helped us
get to the wildlife and back to their
house
for tea.

Stanley
Stanley is the capital of the Falkland Islands. Even though we took the
Zodiacs from the ship, we had a dry landing at a dock where we disembarked and
removed some of our warmer clothing. The temperature was in the 50's
(Fahrenheit) with some wind.
