LouvreWhat can you say about the Louvre, except it's HUGE! We spent five hours here and only saw about 1/3 of it. We started looking at Greek and Roman sculpture, graduating to medieval art and finally more "modern" pieces like the Mona Lisa. The museum was fairly crowded, partially owning to the fact that several other attractions were closed Monday (like the Musée d'Orsay).
Sadly, the Mona Lisa was like being near the stage at a rock concert - everyone was trying to get up front to snap a photograph, and the crowd was several rows deep. This really detracted from the experience. I found some of the other works much more enjoyable because I could spend time with them. After the museum, we headed to the Luxembourg Gardens for a bit of relaxation.
